Larry Ward, partner with international law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP, has been appointed to the State Department’s defense trade advisory group for a two-year term.Ward is a partner at Dorsey & Whitney’s Seattle office with focus on U.S. national security law, the SEC said Wednesday.
“His appointment to this prestigious committee is recognition of his technical expertise in the area of export controls and the aerospace and defense industry,†said Ken Cutler, managing partner of Dorsey & Whitney.
DTAG works to provide a consultation and coordination channel between the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs and private sector defense exporters and trade specialists.
The Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs appoints DTAG members.
