Molly Hooper writes Kaine said in an interview with Fox News Sunday that lawmakers could decide on the bill when the Senate reconvenes Monday afternoon at 2 P.M.
“In all likelihood we will, we think it’s insufficient, it doesn’t cover the Department of Veterans Affairs and other important workers, but I don’t suspect it will be too controversial,” Kaine told the show.
He added the upper chamber intends to reject a House-approved government funding measure that seeks to delay the healthcare reform.
If Congress fails to send a bill to the President that both the Senate and House agree on by Tuesday, the government would shutdown.
