The Defense Department has launched an outreach program that aims to encourage veterans who believe they were unjustly dismissed from duty to have their discharges and military records reviewed.
DoD said Friday it will utilize public outreach and engagements with veterans service organizations, military service organizations and other outside groups to reach out to veterans under the initiative.
Veterans, VSOs, MSOs and other organizations were also invited to provide feedback and suggestions regarding the Board for Correction of Military/Naval Records and the Discharge Review Board processes.
The effort was launched in support of the department’s commitment to rectify discharge errors and injustices and provide equal treatment to all veterans.
