Doug Wagoner, president and CEO of LMI and a three-time winner of the prestigious Wash100 Award, has now been announced as the recipient of the 2022 Good Scout Technology Award, which he will formally receive during the annual Good Scout Technology event hosted by the National Capital Area Council (NCAC), Boy Scouts of America on November 2nd, 2022.

The annual luncheon recognizes the significant leaders who exemplify the values of the Scout Oath and Law as well as the Boy Scouts of America. This year’s event will be held at the Tyson’s Corner Marriott at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 2nd to celebrate Doug’s commitment to advancing the technology sector.

As a Good Scout Award recipient, Doug Wagoner will join a rich history of awardees who have demonstrated trustworthiness and loyalty as leaders in the government contracting (GovCon) community and the federal landscape as well.

He will join previous Good Scout Award and fellow Wash100 Award winners, including last year’s recipient SAIC CEO Nazzic Keene and other significant executives like Cubic Chairman Mac Curtis, ManTech Chairman Kevin Phillips and the late longtime Chairman of CACI Jack London.

For more than 100 years, Boy Scouts of America has inherently taught time management, creative thinking, the ability to lead and simply getting along with others as well as other skills that will provide the young men and women of our nation with the skills they need to be successful for life. Every child begins on an even playing field, no matter their natural talent.

During last year’s Executive Spotlight interview with ExecutiveBiz, honorary chair of the Boy Scouts of America Mike Daniels explained and the history of the Good Scout Technology Award and the importance of the annual luncheon every year to our community.

“The feedback as people leave the luncheon is always, ‘That’s the best event I’ve been to all year,’ and we always do our best to ensure that’s the case for everyone,” Mike Daniels explained. “We try to make it fun and focus on the great leaders in our technology industry and most importantly, our youth and our scouts.”

Don’t miss the 2022 Good Scout Technology Award Luncheon on Nov. 2nd to support the character-building programs of the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and celebrate the leaders in the technology industry such as LMI CEO Doug Wagoner.
