Jeff Caporizzo Joins ICF as Executive Creative Director for Government Clients; Mary Schwarz Quoted

Jeff Caporizzo has been appointed Creative Director of ICF Next, ICF’s integrated marketing and communications services group, to provide creative services for government clients, the company announced on Tuesday.

“Jeff is an industry leader in creative strategy and planning, creative management, marketing, advertising, print and digital design, and social-content development,” said Mary Schwarz, managing partner for ICF Next’s government group. 

Caporizzo will lead ICF Next’s team of storytellers, artists and digital media experts in support of U.S. federal and other public sector clients to design and execute creative work that drives sustained behavior change.

He brings over 25 years of experience to his new role with ICF Next. He served in a variety of senior creative leadership roles with Edelman between Oct. 2013 and June 2019, including group creative director, content group director and executive creative director. 

At Edelman, Caporizzo led a unified cross-media creative team execute both the craft and impact of creative design. He lead the DC Digital Content Studio, leveraging the global online conversation.

Caporizzo has also worked with clients across the industry spectrum, including AHA, CMS, Rockwell Collins, Dannon, ESA, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, VW, Hilton. He developed digital marketing campaigns for the clients with specific emphasis on content across social media channels based on sound insight, strategy, concept and creative.

He has also held leadership positions with Ministers of Design and Bates Creative Group, as the creative director at both companies. At ZilYen, Caporizzo served as vice president and creative director, where he developed brands and exposure for his clients. 

Since Caporizzo began his career at Atelier Creative as a junior designer in 1995, he has continued to advance his creative skillset, leadership and knowledge in the industry. Schwarz concluded, “His formula is simple: Know who you are talking to, inspire them and constantly optimize in the face of new information.”
