Ellen Kossek, a Krannert School of Management professor at Purdue University, will chair the work-life committee for an Office of Personnel Management research summit in March, the university said Wednesday.
Kossek will lead the committee during discussions on potential policies and research efforts on work-life balance for employees while maintaining organizational performance, Purdue added.
Discussions could cover worksite health and wellness, occupational health, workplace flexibility, work scheduling, boundary management and employee assistance programs.
Purdue noted that the other human capital areas on focus at the summit are leadership, benefits, performance management, employee focus and diversity or inclusion.
The OPM research summit will be held at American University in Washington from March 8 to 9.
Kossek is the Basil S. Turner Professor of Management and director of research at the Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence at Purdue.
