1 min read

websiteThe General Services Administration‘s 18F digital group has collaborated with the U.S. Digital Service to develop a set of user interface tools and visual style templates for government website development.

The U.S. Web Design Standards resource is designed to help federal agencies simplify digital user experience and address usability issues in their online service portals, according to an article published Monday on the 18F website.

The site offers UI components and patterns that are based on HTML structure as well as typography and color ideas for agencies to comply with Section 508 web accessibility regulations.

18F and USDS professionals worked to assess, test and repurpose existing patterns, codes and designs from multiple public and private web style guides for the project.
