This year National Small Business week falls on May 23rd â May 25th and will be held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C. The event will also be webcasted live on www.nationalsmallbusinessweek.com.
The event will recognize around 27.2 million small businesses around the country. In fact, more than half of Americans either work for or own a small business. Small businesses not only increase competition, but they create new jobs and drive innovation.
The 2010 National Small Business Week is featuring three speakers: Karen Mills, the U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator, JJ Ramberg, MSNBC Anchor, and Scott Griffith, the Chairman and CEO of Zipcar.
âDuring National Small Business Week weâll honor the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and determination that makes small businesses the engine of our economy and our nationâs economic recovery. Weâll celebrate the contributions that small businesses make to our economy, to our global competitiveness, and to our daily lives,â said Karen Mills, SBA Administrator.
