The General Services Administrationâs cloud adoption, shared services implementation and other information technology modernization efforts have helped attract IT talent, FCW reported Wednesday.

“GSA is dependent on attracting world class IT talent. We’ve created an environment that’s good for techies,” David Shive, chief information officer at GSA, said Wednesday at the Association of Government Accountants’ National Leadership Training meeting in Washington, D.C.Â

Shive has spoken about GSAâs efforts to eliminate data centers and enterprise help desks and how the current environment helps the agency retain IT professionals. He noted that the agency has applied agile practices to its hiring process.
