Morgan worked for the Customs and Border Protection on a joint duty assignment in 2014 prior to his appointment as the training division’s deputy assistant director, the bureau said Tuesday.
He joined the FBI in 1996 and served as a member of the Crisis Response Squad and the Eurasian Organized Crime Task Force during his assignment at the bureauâs Los Angeles Field Office.
His previous roles at the FBI include deputy assistant director of the bureauâs inspection division, head of the El Paso Division, and section chief of the Critical Incident Response Groupâs strategic information and operations center.
The certified firearms instructor is a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a former deputy sheriff in Missouri.
