Flynn is currently executive vice president, general counsel andcorporate secretary of ICO Global Communications. He will be working under the inter-bureau steering committee that was established by Genachowski to lead the team that is reviewing the merger.
Genachowski is confident in Flynnâs abilities and said, âThe FCC staff has been working hard to analyze all issues presented by the proposed merger, and Johnâs legal expertise and broad experience will help to ensure that the Commissionâs review is thorough, fair, and efficient.â
Flynn previously served as vice president and deputy general counsel of Commerce One, Inc., general counsel and vice president of rStar Broadband Networks, Inc. He has also worked in private practice with WilmerHale and Munger, Tolles & Olson. Flynn holds his law degree from Georgetown University.
