Today is Health IT Day. AFCEA Bethesda Chapter is hosting the 2010 Health IT Day at the Bethesda North Marriott and Conference Center. The program began at 9 am and will continue until 5 pm.
Some keynote speakers who will talk about the future of Health IT include Dr. Michael Dinneen, Director of Strategic Management, Military Health System, Julie Boughn, CIO of Department of Health and Human Services, and Vish Sankaran, Director of the Federal Health Architecture Program within ONC.
At Health IT Day there will be discussions on electronic health records, the recent healthcare bill and its implications, telemedicine in the battlefield, and the exchange of health information between the VA and the DoD.
