Maj. Gen. Daniel Hughes, Army program executive officer for command, control, communications-tactical, told a conference the unified connectivity is critical to helping soldiers âoperate at home like they do in field,â C4ISR & Networks reports.
The connectivity system contains interfaces meant to display logistics, intelligence and airspace management and maneuvers information through radios, mapping applications and chat rooms, the report says.
Hughes said his office focuses the unified communication effort on the command post computing environment prior to an enterprise-wide rollout across the Army and the Defense Department, Corrin reports.
