The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research on electronic clearinghouse services that would support the agency’s Financial Services Center in implementing digital health care transactions.
VA will accept input from industry sources on its proposed clearinghouse support contract until May 6, according to a request for information posted Friday on SAM.gov.
The agency explained in a draft performance work statement that the selected contractor will transmit incoming and outgoing electronic transactions related to medical claims across the U.S. and its territories on behalf of FSC.
Work is expected to take place at contractor facilities and last for one year, with options for four-year extensions.
