John Sherman, chief information officer of the Intelligence Community, has said that efforts to modernize the communityâs operations span areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity and data-related initiatives. The Defense Intelligence Agency said Thursday that other key priorities for the IC Information Technology Enterprise include establishing relationships with allies, industry partners and congressional overseers.
âThese are not just aspirational goals, but tasks on which weâre moving out aggressively,â Sherman told attendees at the  Department of Defense Intelligence Information System Worldwide Conference in Tampa, Fla. âWhile they are our main efforts, theyâre not the totality of efforts across the information environment.â
The community also seeks to improve technology for supporting disabled employees. Sherman added that he appreciates the work done by previous leaders like Sue Gordon, deputy director of national intelligence and 2019 Wash100 Award winner, to support the IC ITEâs second phase of development.
