Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), committee ranking member, said the legislation is intended to support a presidential executive order on critical infrastructure security, FCW reports.
Thompson added that an upcoming cybersecurity framework from the National Institute of Standards and Technology could change how agencies make decisions on security networks, according to the report.
