The Defense Information Systems Agency wants to build an analytic cloud platform intended to help boost cybersecurity and services for the Defense Department‘s agencies, FCW reported Monday.
Amber Corrin writes the cloud environment called Acropolis will work to gather, correlate, analyze and minimize threats with the goal of helping the DoD gain awareness in cybersecurity to address potential risks.
DISA intends to base the platform on the National Security Agencyâs model that uses big data in identifying threats, according to the report.
Mark Orndorff, DISA program executive officer for mission assurance and network operations, told FierceGovernmentIT the agency will adopt NSAâs techniques and technologies.
DISA will extract information from sensors, incident reports, information technology infrastructure, applications, DoD industry partners and the Defense Cyber Crime Center, FCW reports.
