Mangogna is the CIO for the U.S Department of Homeland Security. In this role, it is his job to manage the departmentâs $5.4 billion in IT programs. He also defines the departmentâs priorities, guidelines, and policies. He also chairs the CIO Officer Council and Enterprise Architecture Board.
Before his role as CIO for the Department of Homeland Security, Mangogna worked as an executive consultant to the Office of the CIO for Immigration Customs Enforcement. He also previously worked in the private sector. He was the former Executive VP and CIO for JP Morgan Chase, President and CEO of COVIDEA, and President and COO of the electronic banking division of Chemical Bank.
Mangogna advanced his skills by going through the Harvard Advanced Management Development Program, the Harvard Managing Computer Resource Program, the Dartmouth Senior Management Program, as well as IBMâs Systems Engineering Program.
