Lauren Stocker has joined the Office of Management and Budget to serve as deputy associate director of the Office of Performance and Personnel Management, or PPM.
Announcing her new role via LinkedIn on Nov. 2, Stocker thanked her colleagues at the General Services Administration for the opportunities and growth she enjoyed in the past 12 years. The new appointee said she looks forward to a new chapter at OMB, which she described as a partner during her time at GSA.
At PPM, Stocker will support the office’s mission of improving the outcomes of federal programs, organizations and policies.
Stocker’s Career Trajectory
Stocker was the acting deputy associate administrator and associate director of the Office of Shared Solutions and Performance Improvement at GSA, where she drove innovation and promoted collaboration. She also helped address future challenges while serving as director of the White House Leadership Development Program.
Earlier in her career, Stocker was a contract negotiator at the Department of the Navy and a contract specialist at the Executive Office of the President.
The new White House official earned her master’s in business administration from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and her bachelor’s degree in political science from Duke University.
