Bill Monet, President & CEO

Bill Monet serves as the president and Chief Executive Officer of Akima. As CEO, he oversees Akima’s 45 companies portfolio and its operations in providing services and solutions to the federal government sector.

Mr. Monet is a fourth-time Wash100 awardee for outstanding stewardship in the GovCon industry. Bill has over three decades of experience in the federal market, serving the state, local, and commercial clientele. His area of expertise includes operational growth strategies and strategic expansion.

 

Larry Mechner, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Larry Mechner, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Larry Mechner is Akima’s current Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. As the CFO, he oversees the company’s financial activities, including risk management, reporting, and planning.

Mr. Mechner has a vast experience in corporate financing. He has over two decades of experience at CSC, where he was the VP and controller for the company’s government business segment. Larry also worked at Ernst & Young as a staff editor.

Mike Alvarado serves as Akima’s Chief Growth Officer and led strategic plans to increase sales and market share throughout the Akima portfolio of businesses. Mr. Alvarado also oversees corporate development initiatives and market intelligence.

Before joining Akima, Mike worked for Jacobs for 16 years. He was Jacobs’ vice president of growth and sales strategy, overseeing growth initiatives for the company’s $5 billion Critical Mission Solutions business line.

 

Chris Jenkins, Chief Administrative Officer

Chris Jenkins, Chief Administrative Officer

Chris Jenkins is the Akima Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing all daily activities, plans, and regulations. Mr. Jenkins joined the company in 2006, contributing over three decades of experience in civilian and government leadership.

Chris started his journey in the U.S. Army, working in a variety of law enforcement capacities throughout the world.

 

Candy Curtin, Chief Human Resources Officer

Candy Curtin, Chief Human Resources Officer

As the Chief Human Resources of Akima, Candy Curtin oversees all human resources practices, including the policies, procedures, and HR management. Ms. Curtin brings more than two decades of expertise in HR leadership.

Before joining the company, Candy was the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at IDEMIA and Serco North America. She has also served the government services companies by bringing human resources support.
