NASA formed a partnership with the Canadian government to support a moon to Mars exploration effort. Canada is the agency's first international partner of a planned Mars expedition.
Jim Bridenstine, NASA administrator, said in a statement published Friday that the partnership will allow the agency to widen international partnership efforts for the Gateway lunar outpost. The Gateway is a lunar orbital spacecraft designed to function as a base for human and robotic space missions. NASA plans to use the spacecraft as part of its planned Mars expedition.
