Robert McMahon, a retired U.S. Air ForceÂ major general and current president of real estate companyÂ Fickling Management Services, will be nominated as assistant secretary for logistics and materiel readiness at the Defense Department.
McMahon previously served as director of C-17 field operations at BoeingÂ andÂ as president and CEO at the 21st Century Partnership, the White House said Tuesday.
His military career has included roles asÂ commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center and 309th Maintenance Wing, as well as director of logistics at USAF’s headquarters and Air Mobility Command.
He is also a member ofÂ State Bank and Trust‘s board of directors, Mercer University’s National Engineering Advisory Board andÂ Robins Air Force Base Museum of Aviation Foundation.
The ASD L&MR positionÂ oversees logistics, materiel readiness, strategic mobility, sustainment support andÂ maintenance programs at the Pentagon.
