GSA Launches Beta Version of Updated Procurement Site; Christy Hermansen Comments

1 min read

The General Services Administration has launched a beta version of its updated website that will offer access to public procurement data, Fedscoop reported Tuesday.

GSA currently seeks input on the test System for Award Management site designed to consolidate 10 online federal contracting portals.

Christy Hermansen, project design lead for SAM.gov, said during an Industry Day teleconference that beta.SAM.gov includes a search tool for users to view information such as assistance listings, contract data, entity registrations and exclusions, federal subtiers and wage determinations.

The report said GSA will conduct workgroups and hold outreach activities in October to gather industry feedback for the website’s future functionality upgrades.

Octo Consulting currently helps GSA to update SAM.gov under a task order awarded in November 2016.
