President-elect Donald Trump has nominated CKE Restaurants CEO Andy Puzder as secretary of the Labor Department, USA Today reported Thursday.

USA Today’s David Jackson quoted Trump as saying that Puzder can help the incoming administration to enforce occupational safety standards and reduce “unnecessary” federal regulations.

Puzder, who served as a campaign adviser for Trump, previously worked as president and CEO of Hardee’s Food Systems, which CKE acquired in 1997.

The chain-restaurant veteran also established and led the Santa Barbara Restaurant Group.

Puzder also served as executive vice president and general counsel at Fidelity National Financial after he practiced law in St. Louis, Missouri for attorney Morris Shenker and law firm Stolar Partnership.
