The General Services AdministrationÂ plans toÂ release the request for proposals regarding the Alliant 2 governmentwide acquisition contract and its small business component sometime in theÂ second half of June.
GSAÂ said ThursdayÂ that Alliant 2 and Alliant 2 Small Business contracting officers couldÂ also release two separate presolicitation announcements on theÂ Federal Business OpportunitiesÂ website at least 15 calendar days beforeÂ the RFPs’ release.
TheÂ unofficial statementÂ on the program scheduleÂ seeks to facilitate transparency in communication with industry and other interested parties and respond to various questions regarding the pending procurement.
BothÂ GWACs are currently going throughÂ a review process as required following the release of the most recent draft RFP in October 2015, GSAÂ said.
GSAÂ notes that seven requests for information and two draft RFPs have been issuedÂ throughout the three-year procurement programÂ along with market research,Â industry trade group appearances, face-to-face and one-on-one meetings, email questions and answers and other discussions.
He indicates further question-and-answerÂ opportunities for industry will follow after the release of the official RFPs andÂ before the receipt of submitted proposals.
