NIST said Wednesday the agency-run National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence provided in the guide several methods for organizations to configure, install and embed commercial mobile device security technology into their systems.
“Our guidance can help organizations reduce their risk and increase their ability to see and respond to security issues,” said Nate Lesser, NCCoEÂ deputy director.
The document explains a technique to disable a wireless device in the event it is stolen or lost as well as to secure a device through system configuration.
The “Mobile Device Security: Cloud & Hybrid Builds” guide will be open for public comments until Jan. 8, 2016.
