Jeff Wagner, director of security operations at the Office of Personnel Management, has said government agencies should have prearranged timelines and know how to handle expectations in the event of a data breach, FCW reported Thursday.
Adam Mazmanian writes Wagner told an FCW-hosted cybersecurity event audience Thursday that agencies should also prepare every individual for any cyber attacks.
“Cybersecurity professionals are the only ones who can set management up for success,” Wagner said.
Non-experts “don’t know what they’re looking at per se, so you need to set them up [and] pre-stage that kind of environment,” he added.
