Interior Dept Seeks New Deputy CIO

JobAdThe Interior Department is looking for a new deputy chief information officer who will support the duties, responsibilities and authority of the CIO and the secretary for information management and technology.

In a notice posted Monday on USAJobs.gov, the department said the deputy CIO role is a Senior Executive Service position and has a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.

The new deputy CIO, who will be based in Washington, will work on the implementation of IT and information management standards as well as the assessment of information systems at the Interior.

According to the job notice, the position also calls for support in IT-related policy development, program management, oversight, performance management, budget planning and similar functions.

The application period will close Sept. 14.
