The Government Accountability Office has identified resources for the Defense Department’s Office of Small Business Programs to disseminate cybersecurity resources to small businesses.
GAO said Thursday that cybersecurity electronic learning courses, a cyber online program and the Small Biz Cyber Planner 2.0 guide are some of the resources available to small businesses.
DoD OSBP considers cybersecurity resources dissemination as an important step toward raising awareness of cybersecurity practices and cyber threats among small businesses.
The DoD also intends for the resources to help small companies protect their networks in support of the 2015 DoD Cyber Strategy goals.
GAO is mandated under the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2015 to review DoD OSBP’s cyber education outreach program for small businesses.
