Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced Saccocciaâs senior executive service appointment on Monday.
Saccoccia assumed his new role in April, with responsibility in helping the DCAA director manage the agencyâs global operations, human resources and nearly $650 million in operating budget.
He joined DCAA in June 1983 as an auditor trainee and later held auditor, supervisory and management roles.
Saccoccia worked in a supervisory role for the Portsmouth, Rhode Island-based Raytheon Submarine Signal Division and the European Branch Office in Germany.
He served as the assistant director of policy and plans for the Senior Executive Service after he held the role of chief of the Special Programs and Quality Assurance Divisions of the Policy and Plans Directorate between 2003 and 2006.
