Denise Turner Roth, acting chief of the General Services Administration, has said she will prioritize multiagency collaboration, transparency and open workspace initiatives if she is confirmed by the Senate to lead GSA on a full-time basis, GovExec reported Tuesday.

She told GovExec she aims to ensure that GSA manages federal properties utilization and disposal efforts as well as to make the agency’s operations more transparent to the public.

“If we focus on the mission of GSA and make sure the resources are going to the mission, everyone will feel positive,” Roth said in the interview.

She added that she believes an open office layout can help the agency reduce footprint and increase employee efficiency.

Roth also wants the agency to continue using a shared services model in order to save money, improve operational efficiency and deliver services faster.
