Troy Schneider writes the Federal Communications Commission plans to transitions its data into a common data platform after the agency moves into the PaaS platform in December and January.
Federal Communications Commission CIO David Bray told the publication the agency also intends to use its PaaS service to build up a âcatalog of different modules.â
Bray also told FCW the PaaS model helps agencies develop user authentication and map-based data visualization functions for use by various systems.
He added that there are early adopters of PaaS in the Defense Department and the intelligence community, FCW reports.
