The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has moved to consolidate its counterintelligence and security functions through a newly installed facility.
âThe establishment of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center supports our effort to ensure counterintelligence and security are addressed as interdependent and mutually supportive disciplines,â DNI James Clapper said Monday.
William Evanina will direct NCSC in addition to his current role as U.S. national counterintelligence executive.
The center is built to execute CI missions of ONCIX in accordance with federal laws and to support the National Counterproliferation Center and the National Counterterrorism Center.
