The American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council has worked with the CIO Council to launch a publicly-available version of a listing hub for commodity information technology and support services.

ACT-IAC said Sept. 10 that version 1.2 of Uncle Sam’s List aims to help commercial vendors work with federal agencies and help foster the use of shared services throughout the government.

“The sharing of these opportunities with the private sector represents a significant milestone in public-private collaboration,” said Rick Holgate, president of ACT-IAC.

The new version’s launch occurred alongside this year’s ACT-IAC Shared Services Forum, where government and industry leaders discussed ideas, policies and other activities aimed to further drive shared services adoption.

“A shared services strategy born of public-private collaboration encourages a balanced and competitive environment to enable government to put its best services forward,” said Charles Santangelo, co-chair of the Federal CIO Council Shared Services Task Force.
