Russell Deyo, a 27-year veteran of healthcare company Johnson & Johnson, will be nominated to succeed Rafael Borras as the Department of Homeland Security‘s undersecretary for management, Federal News Radio reported Thursday.

Jason Miller writes that Deyo retired from J&J in 2012 after serving in roles such as corporate vice president, general counsel and VP of administration.

If approved, Deyo would be expected by observers to continue DHS’ initiatives to bolster departmental cooperation by using a “unity of effort” framework, according to the radio station.

Deputy DHS Management Undersecretary Chris Cummiskey assumed Borras’ duties on an acting basis since Borras left the agency to join the private sector in February.
