CapitolDomeThe House of Representatives has passed a $17 billion budget plan for the Veterans Affairs Department, Reuters reported Wednesday.

David Lawder writes the House voted 420-5 to approve the bill that would fund the veterans’ access to private healthcare services and the recruitment of additional doctors and nurses for outpatient clinics.

The Senate is set to decide on the budget plan before the Congress goes on a give-week break beginning on Friday, according to the report.
