mobile device managementThe Defense Information Systems Agency has approved a secure technical implementation guide designed to help federal agencies implement a Good Technology-built mobile security platform on authorized iOS 7 devices.

Good Technology’s platform is built to separate business and personal data as well as manage apps, emails and devices, the company said Wednesday.

“The Department of Defense continues to be concerned with securing mobile devices and they turn to DISA to provide an outline of best practices for mobility,” said Nicko van Someren, Good Technology chief technology officer.

The STIG approval is the company’s sixth since it began working with the agency in 2006.
