Madelyn Creedon Approved for No. 2 NNSA Position

Madelyn-CreedonMadelyn Creedon, formerly assistant defense secretary for global strategic affairs, has received Senate confirmation to be the National Nuclear Security Administration deputy administrator, Federal News Radio reported Wednesday.

The station reports that in her new role, Creedon will coordinate with NNSA Administrator Frank Klotz to help the federal government address nuclear security issues.

She previously counseled Democratic staff on the Senate Armed Services Committee and led the panel’s strategic forces subcommittee in promoting nonproliferation programs.

Creedon earned an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Evansville and graduated from St. Louis University Law.
