1 min read

U.S. NavyMobileSmith has partnered with the Naval Air Systems Command to provide continued development of applications and services to further the command’s mobile application strategy.

The strategic agreement aims to enable NAVAIR to design, develop, launch and manage applications necessary to the needs of the U.S. Navy and related stakeholders.

Robert Hancock, MobileSmith vice president of sales said that that the MobileSmith Platform has the potential to substantially reduce the cost of its mobile strategy, while still delivering optimal performance.

“MobileSmith is excited to partner with NAVAIR and empower its staff to take ownership of its mobile app development,” said Hancock. “Mobile use cases are best developed by those who are closest to the end user and who know exactly what a sailor or marine would need in a mobile application. Our platform enables them to do so quickly and reliably, without any programming.”

NAVAIR seeks to take advantage of features in the MobileSmith app such as the platform extensions, data integration, role-based access and seamless upgrading.

The company plans to run a variation of the app on its private cloud in the near future.
