Esri obtained a FISMA authority-to-operate status from USDA for the company’s ArcGIS Online cloud geospatial technology, Esri said Wednesday.
The ArcGIS Online system is designed to help government organizations create interactive web maps as well as host tiled map services for public dissemination, according to Esri.
Esri also built the web platform for customers to manage geospatial content and access basemaps, applications templates and developer tools.
The company aims for ArcGIS Online to facilitate collaboration between agencies and help with agency planning and policy-making activities.
