Marshall Miller has joined the Justice Department as new deputy director of the criminal division and holds experience in prosecuting terror suspects and other similar cases for the U.S. Attorneysâ Office, Reuters reported Wednesday.
Aruna Viswanatha writes the Washington-based division has 600 lawyers and handles high-profile financial fraud cases such as the investigations into manipulation of benchmark interest rates.
“He’s always trying to just be the backstop for everything,” said Millerâs predecessor John Buretta, who resigned in November.
