The General Services Administration and the Office of Personnel Management will jointly craft a strategic sourcing vehicle for helping agencies fulfill their human capital and workforce training requirements.

OPM and GSA personnel will manage the bidding and awarding process for the multiple-award Training and Management Assistance contract, GSA said Monday.

“At a time when every agency is facing tightening budgets while also dealing with increasing demands for government services, a skilled, trained workforce is more important than ever before,” said Dan Tangherlini, GSA’s administrator.

“This program will help the entire government get the HR support and training services they need and save valuable taxpayer dollars,” Tangherlini added.

Both agencies will also collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing Leadership Council to implement the program and intend to release a formal solicitation sometime during the next fiscal year.
