Bill Warren: Natl Labor Exchange Picked As VA’s Veterans Job Listing Provider

JobAdThe Department of Veterans Affairs has tapped the National Labor Exchange to supply job content to a new employment resources database for military veterans located on the VA’s eBenefits website.

NLx is a collaboration between the National Association of State Workforce Agencies and the DirectEmployers Association and distributes job openings via companies’ career portals, state job banks and federal recruitment sites, DirectEmployers said Thursday.

Bill Warren, DirectEmployers Association executive director, said the VA job search platform is designed to connect employers with soldiers who are transitioning to the civilian workforce.

First Lady Michelle Obama introduced the online veterans employment center at a recent summit held at Fort Campbell, Ky. and hosted by the VA, Pentagon, Labor Department and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
