The state’s aerospace sector generated $62 billion in direct revenues and $38.8 billion in indirect revenues in 2012, A.T. Kearney said Monday.
Californian aerospace work accounts for 9 percent of the global market and 21 percent of the U.S. market, the study says.
The sector directly or indirectly supports 510,800 civilian, military and industrial jobs across the state, according to the global management consulting firm.
A.T. Kearney also says the industry generates personal income tax revenues of $2.9 billion, with wages rating in the top 3 percent of all sectors.
