1 min read

GSAThe General Services Administration has introduced a new Web-based tool for government agencies to build and manage crowd-sourcing contests, GCN reported Friday.

Mike Cipriano writes the WordPress-based ideation platform is intended to help users create challenges, integrate public voting into the judging criteria, formulate submission guidelines and develop social media sharing technologies.

Federal employees can post a competition on the Challenge.sites.usa.gov website by using their personal identity verification card, according to the report.

The competitions are required to describe the goals and display media resources, the report says.

Cipriano writes users also need to provide information about the competition’s rules, eligibility of entrants, partner agencies, incentives, identity of the judges and criteria for judging.
