The Defense Information Systems Agency has moved to align how the agency plans to acquire commercial infrastructure services with requirements of Defense Department customers, Federal News Radio reported Wednesday.
DISA adjusted its buying approach for cloud storage, virtual machine, database and web hosting services for data storage following a draft request for proposals in June, according to the report.
Jennifer Carter, DISA component acquisition executive, told the station the agency intends to fulfill DoD’s security requirements and complete the pricing scheme through several users.
DISA recently released security information and guides in order to help vendors develop products and services, Federal News Radio reports.
