Charles Rothwell Named Director of National Center for Health Statistics

Charles Rothwell, NCHS - ExecutiveMosaicCharles Rothwell has been named the new director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention‘s National Center for Health Statistics, Federal News Radio reported Monday.

Michael O’Connell writes that in his new role, Rothwell will assist the office in monitoring the country’s health and gathering related information for research policy and programs.

Rothwell led the NCHS’s vital statistics division prior to his appointment.

He will replace Edward Sondik, who retired in April.
