1 min read

Veterans Affairs Department logoStephen Warren, formerly acting chief information officer for the Department of Veterans Affairs, has been promoted to the role on a full-time basis and named executive-in-charge for the VA’s agency’s information technology office, Federal News Radio reported Wednesday.

Jason Miller writes Warren has served as VA’s acting CIO and assistant secretary for the IT office since Roger Baker departed the agency in March.

A VA spokesperson told the station that Warren has reached the 210 days limit for serving in the assistant secretary role on a temporary basis without being confirmed by the Senate.

Miller reports the VA could backfill his position as deputy assistant secretary for the IT office and principal deputy CIO.
