White House Promotes STEM Education for Women

WhiteHouseThe White House is aiming to carry forward efforts to promote STEM education programs for women through various initiatives and tools, FedScoop reported Wednesday.

Colby Hochmuth writes NASA’s Digital Learning Network intends to connect NASA professionals and students across the country using web-based tools to discuss STEM programs.

The National Science Foundation also wants to collaborate with researchers in developing proposals intended to help further STEM education for women, according to the report.

Hochmuth writes Presidential Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett co-sponsored an event during the recent U.N general assembly, where founders of the partnership presented reports about the initiative’s progress.
