Charles Clark writes the Senate confirmed Tangherlini as General Services Administration chief, Shelanski as the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs administrator and Deese as the Office of Management and Budget deputy director.

Tangherlini, who has served as acting GSA head for 15 months, was nominated by President Obama in April.

Former Federal Trade Commission economist and lawyer Shelanski succeeds Cass Sunstein, who stepped down in August 2012 to return to his academic position.

Prior to his current role, Deese worked at the National Economic Council as deputy director.
